New to the Holiday Tour of Homes? Here’s how it works: when you purchase a Guidebook, which is your ticket for the Dec 7th event, you can then follow the map in the book to tour the beautiful interiors of homes in the West Springfield community all decorated for the holiday season! Guidebooks can be purchased at the various locations listed below, or can be purchased at-the-door at any of the homes on tour day. Homes can be toured in any order; just simply pick a location and start your journey there! IMPORTANT: You will need to take a shuttle from the Irish Cultural Center to get to the Morgan Road Home, and a shuttle at Santa’s House to see the Altamont Museum (see below).
A Volunteer will greet you and initial your book upon entering each home, so be sure to keep your Guidebook ticket in hand. Once inside the home, you will fall right into the flow of the tour, traveling from room to room to admire decorations and interior design stylings. See a decoration, wall color, or furniture piece you like? Jot it down in the Notes page of your Guidebook! Interested in joining the Tour of Homes Committee or putting your home on tour next year? Fill out the short form in the book, rip the page out, and drop it into the “volunteer” box at any one of the homes!
For some Tour-Goers, the Annual Tour of Homes marks the start of their holiday season, while for others, it is an opportunity to bring family and friends together. Each year, the Holiday Tour of Homes attracts close to 700 attendees from throughout the Pioneer Valley & beyond, which provides a great opportunity for businesses to showcase their services by inserting an advertisement in the Guidebook. All proceeds raised from this event directly impact the lives of local families, who rely on the Club as a safe environment where youth are motivated, engaged, active, and nurtured every day. The Boys & Girls Club of West Springfield offers Before & After School, Vacation & Summer Week, and Teen programs for youth ages 2.9 to 18. Our Special Events are critical is raising crucial funds to support our members and their families, especially those at-risk.
*NEW* this year, the West Springfield Boys & Girls Club will be opening up its doors to the public and Tour-Goers for a grand Craft Fair during regular Tour hours. Entry to the Craft Fair is free, and guests will also have the chance to enter to win a beach getaway Raffle Basket and take a Club tour! In addition to the Tour and Craft Fair, a 3-course Gourmet Lunch will once again be served by our friends over at Storrowton Carriage House. Lunch will be available between the hours of 11am and 2pm, for the cost of $15 per person.
